Bu kitap "Martin Heidegger ve Hannah Arendt: Metafizik ve Politika" başlıklı Uluslararası Felsefe Kolokyumu'nda sunulan metinlerden oluşmaktadır. Farklı felsefi ve politik yönelimlere sahip olmakla birlikte bu iki düşünürün burada bir araya getirilmesinin nedeni onların, incelikle Batı Metafizik geleneğinin sökümünü amaçlamış olmalarıdır. Hareket noktalarındaki bu ortaklık, Heidegger ve Arendt'in düşüncelerini, düşünme ile eylem ilişkisini anlamak ve yeniden yorumlamak bakımından halen güncel ve önemli kılmakta. Bu bakımdan kitap ilkin katılımcılarla başlayan anlama ve yorumlama denemesine şimdi de okuyucuyu davet ediyor.

This book is a collection of texts originally presented at the International Philosophy Colloqium "Martin Heidegger and Hannah Arendt: Metaphysics and Politics". Although these two thinkers took different paths in philosophy and politics, they are brought together here, primarily because both aimed at the destruction of the Western metaphysical tradition. It is this common point of departure which makes an understanding of these thinkers of continuing importance today as we try to reinterpret the relationship between thinking and action - a reinterpretation which we invite our readers to continue.
