Northanger Abbey
Northanger Abbey (1817) is "Gothic parody" by Jane Austen (1755-1817), a British novelist and one of the most widely-reaf and best-loved writers in British literature. Northanger Abbey was written by Austen in 1798, but published posthumously in 1817. The work tells the story of a naive but sweetly appealing heroine, Catherine Morland a willing victim of the craze for Gothic literature, Catherine Morland saw herself as the heroine of a dark and thrilling romance.
