Village Town and People in the Ottoman Balkans 16th- MID - 19th Century

The articles included in this volume present the results of my work on two distinct projects. The first one concerns the organisation of the agrarian land and economy in the Central and the Southern Balkans during the 16th and early 18th century. The second project focuses on the interactions between the Christian and Muslim communities in the Balkans under the Ottomans.
